What better combo is there at Christmas time than chocolate and peppermint? These marshmallows are perfect to add to a holiday cookie plate or to use as a fancy topping for hot chocolate – I also love to grab one right from the freezer when I’m in need of a little sweet treat.
These marshmallows are made with honey. They have the texture and consistency of store bought marshmallows, without all of the chemicals and preservatives. This is a treat you can feel good about!
Ingredients
1 batch | Honey Peppermint Marshmallows (see link below for the recipe) |
1 – 1/2 cups | chocolate chips |
2 | crushed candy canes |
Instructions
- Melt the chocolate in the microwave, or over your stove top.
- Drizzle the chocolate over your marshmallows and spread evenly over the marshmallow with a spoon, to cover it.
- While the chocolate is still soft, sprinkle with candy cane.
- Place marshmallows on a pan lined with parchment paper and place in the fridge until the chocolate has hardened.
- These can be stored in the freezer for several months if desired.
