We’ve taken this classic sweet treat and given it an upgrade by adding our pure liquid honey. We’ve replaced corn syrup with honey in this recipe for a healthier, tastier version. The only downside to this recipe, is that once you start eating it, it’s hard to stop. Consider yourselves warned!
Ingredients
1 cup | unpopped popcorn kernels |
1/2 cup | butter |
1/2 cup | honey |
1/2 cup | brown sugar |
1/2 tsp | baking soda |
1/2 tsp | vanilla |
a pinch | salt |
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 250 degrees Fahrenheit.
- Pop the popcorn into a large bowl.
- In a medium sized pot, add butter, honey and brown sugar. Cook over medium/low heat. Bring to a slow boil and boil for about 2 minutes.
- Remove from heat and add vanilla, baking soda and salt. Stir to combine.
- Divide the popcorn equally onto 2 baking sheets. Pour the honey/butter mixture over the popcorn and stir until it is all covered.
- Bake for 30 minutes, stirring halfway through baking time.
- Remove from the oven. Popcorn will harden as it cools. If you’re not going to eat it all right away, popcorn can be stored in the freezer in an airtight bag.
