A banana milkshake with a healthy twist – but you wouldn’t know it! Beekeeper Brian came up with this recipe one day and it’s been a family favourite ever since. Instead of ice cream, this recipe calls for milk, honey and ice. For those who can’t have dairy, coconut milk is a fantastic option in this summer shake.

This recipe is a healthy upgrade on traditional milkshakes and simple to make. They are the perfect treat for a hot summer day!
Ingredients
4 | bananas |
1/4-1/3 cup | honey |
1 1/2 cups | milk of your choice (our favourites are 2% and coconut milk) |
3 cups | ice |
Instructions
- 1. Pour the ice into the bottom of the blender.
- Add the bananas, milk and honey to the blender and blend until smooth.
- For a thicker shake, add more ice, and for a thinner shake add more milk. You may need to add more or less honey depending on how sweet your bananas are.
- Pour into glasses and enjoy!
