Simple and refreshing, this cocktail is perfect to enjoy during these hot summer months! Sweetened with a natural honey syrup, this drink is simple to prepare, and sure to satisfy.
Ingredients
2 oz | gin |
1.5 oz | lemon juice |
1.5 oz | simple honey syrup (directions below) |
Top with | soda water |
small wedge | lemon |
ice | |
stem | rosemary (for garnish) |
Instructions
- Begin by making a simple honey syrup using a 1-1 ratio of honey to water (ie. 1/2 cup honey mixed with 1/2 cup water). Pour honey and water into a pot on the stove and heat until it is thoroughly combined. Extras can be refrigerated in an airtight container and stored for up to a month.
- Cut a lemon and juice it until you have 1.5 oz of juice.
- Fill cocktail shaker half full with ice and then pour in lemon juice.
- Add simple syrup and gin. Shake until its well mixed.
- Add a small piece of lemon to the bottom of a glass and add ice until it’s half full.
- Pour the lemon/gin mixture into the glass and fill until it is just over 3/4 full. Top it off with soda water.
